Bob Howard’s postman on the other hand would deliver the letters with a wink and a nudge saying “Another one for you, Bob!” firmly convinced I was a spy, or doing something playfully illegal. After we had compiled our initial selection of letters, invoices and replies, we were aware that we had collected many more than would fit into one edition. So we decided to offer further and greater value for money and compile The Invoice Book-Internet edition. These are not reject letters or seconds; just ones that didn’t fit into the first book. A few are repeats that look better in colour (check out Dulux Shades of Rock). And others are new. We hope you enjoy this specially compiled Internet version. It’ll give you a flavour of what the Hard Copy book is like. Click here for an exclusive offer to buy the book on line. As you will see from the Foreword of the book, we are selling this under our own publishing company which is a posh way of saying we’re self publishing. Virgin Books offered us riches beyond our wildest dreams, fixed a release date, issued press releases, and even advertised it on Amazon. Then in one swift swipe of their legal swords, cut the project into shreds. They decided that they felt it was too dangerous to publish and they didn’t want to risk any of our “clients” taking a pop at Sir Richard. To seal our fate, they sacked our editor. We were assured at the time that these two facts were unrelated, but we were not convinced. They did receive an Invoice which you can read in the Internet Version at some stage. So please support us in our attempt to get this book sold. We promised that all proceeds from the Invoices would go 100% to charity, and that we would further give 10% of the profits of the book also to charity. This is our aim. We would also like to think that you can help us fight against the greedy unpredictable and exploitative practices of book publishers in the same way that songwriters, musicians and artists are doing with self promotion and sales, and if not giving these companies a serious run for their money, possibly a pleasant jog to break even! Enjoy……….. The two Bobs! Click here to see the Internet version of the book. |
